New Girl season 1 review

Posted by DryYoshi on Thursday, July 5, 2012, In : TV-shows
Okay, one of my new favorite shows. Let's make this short.

I love Cece and Schmidt together, Jess get your act together dammit, Winston please don't stop being funny, Nick don't go back to Caroline ever again.

Also I wish there could be more of that cute redhead Sara. :3 She's awesome. I love children in tv-shows making sexual comments. haha. (That's why Last Man Standing is so great)

Anywhore...

Rating: 8.8

Last Man Standing Season 1 review

Posted by DryYoshi on Thursday, July 5, 2012, In : TV-shows
Man, am I happy to have found out about this show. It's absolutely hilarious.

If you're familiar with Tim Allen (i.e. Home Improvement), you know he's funny. And even in this he's great. He portrays a guy named Mike who's working at a store where they sell hunting and fishing equipment. He's great friends with hiss boss Ed and he lets the new intern Kyle date his daugher Kristin. He makes vlogs for the site of the company, and they're often quite funny.

His three daughers are Kristin, who has ...

Max Payne 3 Game Review

Posted by DryYoshi on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, In : Games
You are Max Payne and have moved out of New York to San Paulo, to protect a family with a new partner you have met in New Jersey. Later everything goes to shit...

The gameplay is pretty good. Of course bullet time is back, like in the other games. But now the game has a cover system, which is really useful. Because of this I didn't find myself using bullet time so much until the end of the game. It also makes the game play more like GTA IV.

The first few missions are pretty okay. They're not a...

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Game Review

Posted by DryYoshi on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, In : Games
(Start of play: March 31st, 2012)
I've finally beaten the story of Brotherhood and here's my review.

Gameplay

This time you don't only spend a long time in the Animus, you actually have more gameplay outside of the Animus too. Like exploring the sanctuary in the beginning of the game. It's fresh and new. You can also exit the Animus whenever you want to explore the Auditore villa in the present. In the Animus you must choose memories yourself. If you do them in the right order and do a spec...

Glee: Props & Nationals Review

Posted by DryYoshi on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, In : TV-shows
Both episodes were amazing.

Let's start with Props.
The writers stopped fucking around and finally did something with Tina! Most of the episode is about her and her friendship with Rachel, which grows stronger over the course of the episode. After Tina had a body-swap dream, where Rachel-being-Tina told Tina-being-Rachel that she should just drive to Carmen Tibideaux and get her to watch Rachel perform at Nationals, Tina helps Rachel in the episode. Now, this whole dream was pretty wacky but al...

[Game review] Victorious: Hollywood Arts Debut (NDS)

Posted by DryYoshi on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, In : Games
Gameplay
The gameplay consists of sliding the camera with the stylus while collecting starts and tapping on people to talk to them. After talking to someone they usually give you a task that involves doing a minigame. There are 6 minigames.
  • Dance. In this minigame you have to tap numbers at the right time and ocasionally follow a big dot.
  • Improvisation: It's like Simon Says. The AI gives a pattern and you have to imitate it.
  • Guitar: You have to strum the guitar in the right way and occasionally ...

[Movie review] The Hunger Games

Posted by DryYoshi on Friday, April 13, 2012, In : Movies

Date watched: March 21st, 2012
Date of review: March 21st, 2012

Oh. My. God. This is the best movie I've ever seen. Since I suck at writing long ass reviews, I will just make a few points.

+ Lots of blood and gore for a PG-13 movie

+ Mostly true to the book

+ The Capitol residents look just as crazy as described in the book

+ The actors are perfect

+ Haymitch and Effie are hilarious

+ Best use of special effects I have seen in a long time (omfgkatniss'sdress)

+ Holyshitexplosio...

[TV-show review] FRED: The Show

So for whatever reason, I decided to watch the nine episodes that had aired already, expecting it to be horrible. But it actually turned out to be funny.
Now I have to say that most of the funny stuff come...

[Game review] Assassin's Creed II

Posted by DryYoshi on Friday, April 13, 2012, In : Games

Platform played: PC
Date of Review: March 25, 2012

The anticipated sequel to Assassin's Creed.  Just like in the last game, you play as Ezio. But this time you flee the lab you were locked into along with a girl to get to her friends who have recreated the computer the scientists used. This way you can go back into your ancestor's memories once again.
This game has a lot of interesting new things to do. Of course there are the assinations, but now they have also ad...
